Gul RS200 Grand Prix, Yorkshire Dales SC

It's now just over two weeks to the next (3rd) round of the Gul RS200 Grand Prix series to be held at Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club on the 14th / 15th May.   The reservoir is the largest in Yorkshire, set in the magnificent scenery of the Dales National Park and at 1000ft altitude rarely lacks a decent breeze.

The club is particularly looking forward to welcoming the RS 'National fleet' back as we're keen to show off our fabulous new clubhouse - especially to those hardy travellers who came to us last time a National event was held here. Back then, all we had was a virtually windowless portacabin, 2 portaloos and no showers. With the large state of the art clubhouse we've just built, with 'all mod cons' (no tough northerner attitude needed ;-)) including heated floors and panoramic windows you may notice quite a difference!

The OOD will be Mike Saul - RS sailing guru and dealer extraordinaire and so good courses are guaranteed. And Mike will have spares available if you need anything.   Racing will start at 1300hrs Saturday, 1000hrs Sunday, with race briefing at 1215hrs Saturday.

Social details to follow, but the last night out in our local village Appletreewick has become a legend. (Where else can you see a settee full of convivial drinkers driving down the road between pubs)!?

We're not as far away as you might think - and it's going to be worth the trip. In fact, why not stay in the area a day or two after the open?
