Results / Open Ullswater YC - 15/04/2017
A weekend of contrasts, with a full on Saturday followed by a lighter Sunday. Fortunately the absolute drifter for the first race on Sunday gave way a force 2-3 for the rest of the day.
Getting that sense of deja vu again. Ullswater 2016 was windy and Ollie & Esther gave us a masterclass in strong wind sailing. Ullswater 2017 wasn't much different as they dominated proceedings again. Great to see Sam and Tim taking second with Marin & Tom taking third. Fourth to sixth were only split by a point, which sums up the closeness of the racing.
The £10 Rope4Boats vouchers were both won by home fleet boats with George & Sophie and Mark & Olivia taking home the spoils.
It's really nice to see that at both the events this year the vouchers have gone to boats towards the back end of the fleet, who wouldn't normally win prizes.

Next Northern Tour event is Staunton Harold on 13th May, but don't forget the Great Northern Assymetric Challenge at Bass next weekend.
