RS800 HISC Training: Sat Coaching & Sun Sprint Racing 2025

Training weekend at HISC: Sat - coaching with Tommy Darling, Sun - sprint racing

Saturday 7th June - Open Training

• Lead by coach Tommy Darling
• Timings: 10am morning briefing, rigged but not changed
• Be prepared for lunch on the water
• Complete the following Google Form here so your coach can best help you out:
• Limited to 6 boats on a first-come-first-served basis, so get your entry in fast
• Plan to wrap up the day with fish and chips on the beach
• Cost: £45

• You must be a member of the RS800 Class Association to be eligible for this coaching.  You can buy one event membership from the RS800 shop here 

Sunday 8th June - Sprint Racing

• Full series of sprint racing, aiming for approximately 10 to 15 min races or about 2.5hrs of racing
• Timings: 10am morning briefing for an 11am first start
• Cost: £30

A few other important bits of info:

• If you are NOT a HISC member, you will have to pay a day-membership fee. Please get in contact with [email protected]
• If you would like accommodation at the club on Friday / Saturday night, and / or you are planning on dropping your boat off on Friday night, please contact the club directly.
• If you have some friends that might be interested in giving the RS800 a go, please do encourage them to get in touch. We may be running a try-a-boat session over the weekend.
• Communication prior to and on the day will be predominantly through the group RS800 WhatsApp - if you are not already in the group, please join here
• We are looking for volunteers to support our coaches as rib crew over the weekend - please get in touch ([email protected]) if you are willing to help out (or if you know anyone who would be).
