Fat Face Racing Circuit 2007
Round 7: WPNSA
The 7th round of the RS 800 Fat Face Racing circuit takes the fleet back to the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy for yet another couple of days of great racing. Those who attended the 2006 Nationals will all remember the great competition that WPNSA provides. The long-term forecast certainly looks promising so come along and be part of it!
So far this season Peter Barton has seen most of the fleet away in both the heavy and the lighter breezes. Spod Olive/Guy Filmore (Sola Harken) however, continue to post top three’s in the bag, along with the ever-consistent Andy Jeffries/Ally Ody. The competition is still wide open and with three events still remaining the circuit is far from over.
The first race is scheduled for an early time of 1200 hrs on Saturday 30th June and there will be a total of three races back to back. After the racing a 2-course meal will be provided by WPNSA - £7.95 a head. Your social rep will see that you’re not disappointed with the evening social activities; with so many fine establishments in Weymouth Town Centre, we’re guaranteed to find somewhere that will house us until the early hours!
Sunday’s racing will kick off at 10:30am sharp and again three races will be sailed in total. Catering will be available throughout the competition providing the much needed cooked breakfasts and post-racing nibbles.
