Full Grand Prix results here. The Grand Prix took in 5 events at Stokes Bay SC, Hayling Island SC, Castle Cove SC for Weymouth Regatta, Lymington Town SC and the End of Seasons at Datchet WSC. Great thanks to Graham Heath for keeping track of the results so steadily!
Congratulations to James Date and Toby Wincer for retaining their Grand Prix title! Tim Saxton and Sam Littlejohn followed closely in second, with Hugh Shone and Hannah Tattersall in hot pursuit in third. 44 boats took up the Grand Prix challenge.
James and Toby were awarded the Grand Prix Champion trophy by 2012 Olympic silver medallist and Volvo Team Sailor Luke Patience at the Volvo End of Season Championships at Datchet WSC last weekend. Thanks to LDC and Magic Marine for giving generous prizes to the top five Grand Prix teams.
We now look forward to an exciting 2015 Grand Prix with 8 events spread further around the country, on the sea and on lakes, with the aim of enticing even more of you to pack your boat up and travel to race your fellow RS800s at great open meetings. 5 events to count out of 8. One RS Class Association member must be in the boat at each event to to be eligible for the Grand Prix.
