A great new venue for the 2016 RS700 & RS800 European Championships - Torbole, Lake Garda, sailing on the same water as our excellent events from Fraglia vela Riva. Circolo vela Torbole is situated in Torbole in the North East corner of Lake Garda in Northern Italy.
Garda is well known for being a sailing and windsurfing mecca, largely due to the thermally generated ‘Ora’ wind that kicks in from the south usually around 12-1pm, and builds regularly up to a F4 and occasionally up to a F6-F7.
The racing will run from Monday 25 to Friday 29 July. The RS700s and RS800s will race on one windward/leeward course. We have assurances from the club that, if conditions allow, the courses will be alongside the popular western cliffs.
The entry fee is €300 for RS800s, €200 for RS700s before 1 July with a €50 late entry levy for those received from 1 July onwards. This fee includes boat, trailer and car parking from Sunday 24 July, pasta after racing each day, and a 3 course meal with drinks on the Wednesday night.
