Just a quick note to remind you all that this weekend, the 14-15th April, Lymington Town SC is hosting Round 2 of the 2007 Fat Face Racing Circuit.
The forecasters are predicting a scorcher and what could be better than spending it out on the water in your 800. While the winds are looking on the lighter side of perfect, there’s still a chance of a sea breeze and let’s face it, Lymington has never failed to give us a great event to date!
So far the star performers during the 2007 season include Spod Olive/Dan Brown (Sola/Harken) and Peter Barton/Roz Allen (Henri Lloyd) who have taken a bullet each at the GUL Winters and round 1 of the Fat Face respectively. Justin Deal and Sarah Marriott (Fat Face) have shown consistency with two 3rd places; but there’s no such thing as a done-deal in the 800 class so things could all change by Sunday evening.
The briefing is scheduled for 11:15 on Saturday morning and the first start will be at 13.00hrs. The usual format will follow with three races back to back on both days. Sunday’s start is scheduled for 11.00am. Catering will of course be available at the club on both days and another cracking social has been planned for Saturday night.
Accommodation-wise there are plenty of guest houses in the area and a full list can be found at http://www.rs-association.com/index.asp?selection=eventsdetail&uid=114823220&class=RS800&fleet=RS800&detailevent=1
